«Fiori sopra l’Inferno» is the new TV series by Carlo Carlei based on the novel by Ilaria Tuti (broadcast Mondays on Rai1). Teresa Battaglia, the protagonist, is played by Elena Sofia Ricci, 60, one of the most popular actresses on Italian television. Born in Florence, she is the daughter of art historian Paolo Barucchieri and Elena Ricci Poccetto, the first female set designer in Italian cinema. Her real name is Elena Sofia Barucchieri and her grandfather, Leonardo Ricci, was an architect of great national fame.
