Julien Creuzet, the Caribbean in the French pavilion
Smiling, inscrutable face, a spectacular profile under his huge cinema cylinder: the Martinican Julien Creuzet, 38, nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2021, is the French star of this 60th editione Venice Biennale. As he explained in his exhibition at Magasin in Grenoble this winter, he invites us to rethink colonial history through a joyful and dancing immersive experience in which the sound, color and light he designed are completely apart (the opposite Expression). by John Akomfrah in the English Pavilion, drama of the oceans with excellent scenography).
