Taylor, a spokesperson for the effort, said live music remains vital as escapism but is becoming financially out of reach for many fans. „Punters don’t have the expendable income they once had,“ he said. „Being able to go to a gig on a Wednesday night, and buy a more expensive gig ticket than it used to be, a T-shirt or a vinyl, a couple of drinks, maybe a taxi fare, is going to cost you a hell of a lot more now than it ever cost you.“
