Cannes Film Festival: The Iranian movement “Women, Life, Freedom” in the spotlight at the Majestic Hotel

Iran will also be discussed at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. On Friday 24 May, filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof will come in person to present his new feature film, selected in competition. The 52-year-old director secretly fled Iran last week. He was sentenced to prison by the mullah regime. It will also be an opportunity to raise global awareness of the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement that continues in Iran and mobilises Iranian artists in exile who are present in Cannes.
