The film Barbie The Greta Gerwig-directed film has surpassed $1 billion in worldwide box office gross, according to estimates by specialist firm Exhibitor Relations as of Sunday, August 6, a first for a solo director. Starring the duo of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, already iconic as Barbie and Ken, the comedy, in which the doll ventures into the real world, has grossed more than $1.03 billion worldwide, including $459 million in North America.
