Two songs away from a new album… Justice is back

The French electronic duo releases “One Night All Night” and “Generator,” two singles that herald an album planned for next spring.

It’s THE return of the beginning of the year: the long-awaited return of the electronic duo Justice. With established communication and true to their habits, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay started this come back – They haven’t released anything for seven years and the record Woman in 2016 – from January 1, on social networks by publishing a short musical excerpt with the caption “Happy New Year”. Since then, the duo has been announced at the Coachella festival in April and We Love Green in Paris in June.

And then, on January 17, to pique fans’ curiosity a little more with a new excerpt that was also posted on Instagram. In a style more comparable to Justice, he asked fans a question: But who could this voice belong to, even if it is very recognizable? Of course to Kevin Parker, the leader of the Australian group.

This piece, called One night/All night was published this Wednesday, January 24th, shortly after 7 p.m. But it’s not just a surprise for Justice, as a second title, Generator, was also released immediately.

Two songs, the first melancholic, very Justice, more pop; the other at the antipodes with a hardcore techno influence that announces the tone of the fourth album of the French: an “unnatural fusion of gabber, that hardcore techno that was the heyday of the 90s in the Netherlands, and the disco of the Seventies, hedonistic and melancholic,” promises a press release.

Justice’s next album, which should be called Hyperdrama and whose cover has also been revealed, will therefore include features like One night/All night. Including a song with The Weeknd? The latter had posted some photos with the two Frenchmen on social networks. Sign of collaboration? Nothing is less safe. However, we have very little information about this new project, which will be released on April 26, 2024. Until then, be patient!
