At 32, multidisciplinary visual artist Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien is an often elusive “creator of connections” between humans and nature and between the cultures of their origin. She was born in Paris in 1990. Her mother is from Guadeloupe and her father is from Ivory Coast, the country where she grew up but left in 2004 due to the civil war. Since then she has created her own universe, an artistic and daring, poetic and powerful world.
