The success of the Spanish series continues Acapulco The third season of it was released on May 1, 2024 on the Apple TV+ platform. Starring and produced by Eugenio Derbez, this new series of ten episodes extends his stay in Las Colinas, the seaside resort that benefits the main character’s social advancement.
Inspired by the film How to Become a Latin Lover Released in 2017, the series was created by Austin Winsberg, who is also showrunner for Chris Harris, Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman. It is also co-produced by Benjamin Odell, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Housekeeping, The Last OG). Most of the actors in the series are Mexican or Latin American and are hardly known in other roles.
What is the plot of the series? Acapulco ?
In 1984, Maximo, a young Mexican, gets one of his dream jobs in the seaside resort of Acapulco. However, he quickly realizes that his new job is much more complicated than he imagined. In Season 3, the series continues its exploration of the past with 1985, where Maximo experiences a real rise to success, while also introducing the character today as he looks back at the mistakes he could have made.
