Ten years after Mue, her last studio album, singer Emilie Simon returns to music to tell the story of her alter ego Lily Mercier’s new journey to the North Star.
A little more than 20 years ago, a young woman with a bare back covered in ladybugs appeared on the cover of her first record that was to be rewarded with a Victoire de la Musique. At the top of the antennae she made a remarkable entry into the small world of electronic music.
Twenty years later, the singer and songwriter continues to explore the magic of sound in a vegetal, mineral and sensory electronic odyssey, in constant “molting”, from ladybug to penguin, from phoenix to winged tiger. And on the back of this cat with diamond eyes, she takes us on an astral adventure between the sun and the North Star.
