On April 17, Volkswagen is presenting the new ID.7 with a range of 700 kilometers

MADRID, April 5 (EUROPA-PRESSE) –

Volkswagen will unveil the new ID.7 worldwide on April 17, a 100% electric sedan with a range of 700 kilometers and a charging capacity of 200 kilowatts (kW), the German company said in a statement.

The carmaker, which says tests are almost complete before presenting the new model, has also indicated that the ID.7 will be a “flagship model” and will be marketed in Europe, China and North America.

The company has emphasized that the ID.7, which will be the first Volkswagen model based on the “MEB” platform, will have a “more powerful” electric motor, which, together with the autonomy offered, makes it one, according to the manufacturer’s assessment “ideal” vehicle for long-distance travel.

“With the ID.7, we have further exploited the potential of the ‘MEB’ platform. We have used a new, stronger and more efficient electric drive motor. In addition, we have improved (…) driving comfort,” emphasized the Head of Volkswagen Development, Kai Grünitz.

The ID.7, a preview of which was presented at the CES in Las Vegas earlier this year, is being produced for the European market at the Volkswagen plant in Emden.
