Music releases of the week

There are some tricolor nuggets on the menu of this week’s new music releases!

The weeks are consecutive and are not the same in the music release department. This Friday, January 19th, will be marked by several remarkable new releases, such as the new (again!) album by Jul, a tireless and prolific rapper from Marseille, two duets as unexpected as they are appreciated: Arthur H and -M- to a song called Los Magnificosas well as Voyou and Vanessa Paradis Prom.

We continue this playlist with almost exclusively French releases with a trio, the DJs David Guetta and Kungs with British singer Izzy Bizu, who released the track All nightdetermined to make you dance, but also the third album from Belgian rapper phenomenon Shay: As long as it rains. Finally, how to miss saviorthe new record by the Californians Green Day or the single by the Libertines, shower ?

Turn up the volume, plug in your speaker, here are the new features of the week you won’t want to miss:

July: decade

We could almost feel like we’re writing it every week: Marseille rapper Jul is releasing his new album this Friday! Baptized decade, this is the thirtieth (!!!) album from the artist who is celebrating his tenth career anniversary. We leave the calculation to you.

Arthur H et -M- : Los Magnificos

The two French singers Arthur H and Matthieu Chedid unite for a song entitled Los Magnificos – which is actually a cover of the song The wonderful one by Arthur H – almost two decades after their last duet, Would you likepublished in 2006. “Another story of friendship and solidarity, but more violent and mystical,” explains Arthur H. The two artists will sing this title on February 1st, the date of Arthur H.’s concert on the stages of the Seine Musicale for his album THE LIFE.

David Guetta, Kungs and Izzy Bizu: All night

“I hope you all enjoy dancing to it as much as we enjoyed working together from Paris to London!” writes French DJ Kungs about this trio with his elder David Guetta and British singer Izzy Bizu in a song entitled All night and which, as the name suggests, is not designed to be listened to without moving.

Green day: savior

Californian rockers Green Day present their fourteenth studio album. savior, this Friday, January 19th. For this new album, we’re taking the same ingredients and starting over: American capitalism had better watch out. Tré Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt will perform at the AccorArena in Paris on June 18th.

Vanessa Paradis and Voyou: Prom

In the French collaborations section we now find Voyou, who invited Vanessa Paradis to dance a waltz to the song Prom, released alongside its equally sweet music video. Our dedicated article is here.

Shay: As long as it rains

She has become THE French-speaking rap phenomenon: at 31 years old, the young artist Shay, nominated for the next Victoires de la Musique in the Audiovisual Creation category, presents her third project, an album entitled As long as it rains.

The Libertines: shower

We end (in style) with showerthe new single from Pete Doherty-led group The Libertines, a new taste of their next album All quiet on the eastern esplanade, announced March 8th. The text of the title commemorates the death of Queen of England Elizabeth II in September 2022: “The day they boxed Lizzy… The last king of every dying empire, let him die / Sit back, enjoy the ride / The last dream of every dying soldier / See you there, flowers.” in my hair.”
