MADRID, September 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar, part of Volvo Cars, has appointed Lutz Stiegler as its new chief technology officer and member of the management team, replacing Jörg Brandscheid, who will leave the company in the fourth quarter of the year to pursue his career outside the automotive industry. Stiegler moves from Volvo Cars to Polestar.

As the company announced in a statement, the change will take effect from December 1, 2023. Stiegler has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and was responsible for Volvo’s electric drive systems at Volvo Cars.

“Performance and innovation are key components of Polestar cars. Lutz will lead the development of these features with his excellent experience in BEV technology and extensive knowledge of electric powertrains,” said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.

“I would like to thank Jörg for his support and his role in leading our technological development over the last few years,” he concluded.
