Lenny Kravitz, Santa, Theodort… The musical releases of the week

This week’s music releases schedule has something for everyone.

A new week in May is coming to an end and with it comes the musical releases of the week! Several notable and very different new releases this Friday, May 24th, including the new album by Lenny Kravitz, Blue electric lightthat of Santa Claus, entitled Catch me againbut also sparkthe Waxx cover album. We will also notice Imadthe very first project of the emerging phenomenon Theodort, or the nugget of Zaho de Sagazan: his cover of Modern Love from David Bowie.

Lenny Kravitz- Blue electric light

After the announcement, there were three singles – including the excellent Human – Lenny Kravitz released Blue electric lighthis twelfth studio album, with … twelve tracks. Written and recorded in his studio in the Bahamas, with the artist playing most of the instruments himself, this album mixes deep soul and rock’n’roll.

Santa Claus – Catch me again

Following the success of her 2022 hit Popcorn Salé, singer Santa from the equally popular group Hyphen Hyphen releases her very first solo album this Friday, May 24, entitled Catch me again. This CD consists of eleven tracks and is carried by the singles Who has the right, Catch me againtitle of the same name and… Salted Popcorn in opening.

Waxx – spark

For the album Etincelle, the musician Waxx called on his friends, artists such as Adé, Ben Mazué, -M-Ibeyi, Pomme, Camélia Jordana, Mat Bastard, Juliette Armanet or the duo KO KO MO and… Pénélope Bagieu, comic book artist and wife of the artist – who also designed the cover of the record. Suggestion? Cover the song that inspired your desire to make music and record it in a place of your choice. The result: a CD with 17 covers, Winter garden from Henri Salvador has black or white from Michael Jackson to I am 10 years old by Alain Souchon or Sk8erBoy by Avril Lavigne.

Theodore – Imad

At 23 years old, he is the new phenomenon of the French rap scene: Théodore Levisse, better known under the pseudonym Théodort – with a T – who this Friday releases his very first record entitled Imad and counts fifteen titles, including the singles Dombi Store and Wayhwhich accumulate ten and four million games respectively Spotify.

Zaho de Sagazan – Modern Love

After having thrilled the opening ceremony of the Cannes Festival on May 14th – we never tire of this video nor of the smile of Greta Gerwig, President of the Jury, before this screening – Zaho de Sagazan releases his version of Modern Loveborrowed from David Bowie, who published it in 1983 and gave it to the film Frances Ha in which Greta Gerwig acts and dances.
