Jeanne Diama

Jeanne Diama was born in Mali and is a writer, director and actress. A graduate of the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers Multimedia Balla Fasséké Kouyaté, she was interested in writing and directing at an early age, but also in the acting profession and began to go on stage with plays or even text performances. She participated as an author in the Labo-élan des Récréatrales in Ouagadougou in 2017-2018 and as an actress in the 2018 edition of the festival. She also participates in the three editions (2017-2019) of Praticables in Bamako. In 2018 she won the French Institute’s Visas for Creation program and in June 2019 she conducted a residency for French-speaking authors, directed by the Les Francophonies festival – From Writing to the Stage. His text Cousu-main/Coups Humains won the Des mots à la scène fund of the French Institute in Paris.
