Born on July 4, 1927 in the village of Subiaco (Italy), the artist grew up in a humble family that later moved to Rome. From Franck Sinatra to Sean Connery, through Marcello Mastroianni and Humphrey Bogart, she has played with the greatest of her career. Nicknamed “Lollo” by Italian cinema, she toured the United States until 1962 before leaving the film sets to devote herself to photography and then to sculpture.
In the 1990s she ran for the European elections on the Democratic Party list with anti-corruption judge Antonio di Pietro. After a failure, she ran for the Italian Senate in September on the “sovereign and popular Italy” list. The latter defended Italy’s exit from the EU, the end of military aid to Ukraine and compulsory vaccination.
