Cs asks for a meeting with Ford management and for Puig to appear to give explanations on the ERE

VALENCIA, March 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cs calls for a meeting with the management of Ford Almussafes and the appearance of the “President” of the Valencian Generalitat, Ximo Puig, at the plenary session of Les Corts to make statements on the ERE announced this Friday by the multinational and which will affect some 1.144 Workers in the Valencian factory.

“The unpredictability of the Botànic will leave more than a thousand Valencian families on the streets. Puig’s ineffective management and lack of foresight in the face of the transition from factory to electric vehicle can be a very hard blow to both employment and the productive fabric and automotive industry of the Valencian Community,” explained Cs’ trustee in Les Corts, Mamen Peris , in a statement.

Faced with this situation, the ‘orange’ group registered a series of questions and requests for information to find out how much public money has gone into Ford and how much of the EU funds have been allocated or are planned to be allocated to Europe’s next generation. Also to find out “what measures are planned to minimize the impact of this ERE”.

“The Consell spends money on what does not correspond. European funds must be used to increase the Valencian production fabric, not to end it,” defends the trustee, explaining that “what the Rat Botànic should do, in the end Ciudadanos will do “when politicians are there to offer solutions”.

In his opinion, it is very worrying that the Valencian Government (PSPV-Compromís-UP) has not foreseen how these changes will affect the industry of the Valencian Community and, above all, that no action plan has been launched within the framework of the Valencian industrial strategy”.
