The exhibition curators Julia Bovet and Dominique Prévôt present the exhibition “Duels. The Art of Combat.” A unique exhibition about the insults that shaped memories, found at the Army Museum in Paris.
When you enter the exhibition, there is a kind of guard of honor with large black and white photos: on both sides of the aisle you can see Jacques Chirac and François Mitterrand, then Raphaël Nadal and Roger Federer. And when we go out, we have images of knights and samurai, Achilles and Hector, David and Goliath, Harry Potter and Voldemort or the video game Street Fighter in our minds. Ancient heroes, aristocrats, gang leaders, football fans and so on: in very different genres, styles, countries and eras, the museum offers us a very extensive panorama of a centuries-old rite of the army, the period of an exhibition entitled ” Duels, the art of fighting ».
