She had a hollow nose, Alice Chegaray-Breugnot. Based on a concept by Nicolas Jean and Stéphane Carrié for a traditional thriller with an autistic character, she instead imagines a woman of high intellectual potential, a single housekeeper, sunny, bubbly and, of course, mother of several children. “It’s a series that was originally English, says Alice Chegaray-Breugnot, This was a hugely successful American remake about a family filled with uncertainty and joy.
“It’s still very upbeat, even if the background is harsh, but it’s extremely funny. It’s okay, the plots, the supporting characters. This series has a richness. It’s a series that doesn’t get enough credit for the richness and finesse of her writing.
