“Aftersun”, “Anatomy of a Fall” and “The Eight Mountains” are competing for the Goya for best European film

MADRID, Oct 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Films like ‘After Sun’, “Anatomy of a Fall” O “The Eight Mountains” These are some of the ten stories submitted by the film academies and selection committees of their respective countries in the competition for the nomination for the Goya for Best European Film.

Like last year, half of the titles in this selection are directed or co-directed by women. The United Kingdom has opted for “After sun‘, by Charlotte Wells; and France “Anatomy of a Fall”, by Justine Triet. Greek made “Behind the Haystacks”directed by Asimina Proedrou, while the bet of Switzerland applies ‘Lightning’ (Thunder), by Carmen Jaquier.

Marco Martins’ Portuguese film, “Great Yarmouth: Preliminary Figures.”‘; the Italian “The Eight Mountains”, co-directed by Charlotte Vandermeersch and Felix Van Groeningen; y la Croatia ‘Safe place’Director: Juraj Lerotić.

The options are rounded off with the choice of Germany,’Teacher’s room, by Ilker Çatak; that of Azerbaijan, “Sughra’s Sons”, signed by Ilgar Najaf; and that of Luxembourg, “The Last Ashes”Director: Loïc Tanson.
