Actor Michael Lerner, best known for his role in Barton Fink, has died

He was 81 years old. On Monday, April 10, Michael Lerner’s nephew announced the latter’s death on Instagram. He had acted in many films and series.

“NWe lost a legend last night. “With these words posted on Instagram, Sam Lerner announced the death of his uncle, actor Michael Lerner. Oscar nominee for his role as Jack Lipnick Barton FinkHe died in 1991 at the age of 81. No information was given on the cause of death.

After making his first television appearance on a sports show at the age of 13, he developed a passion for theatre. He received several scholarships to study at the University of Berkeley in California and then in London, where he stayed with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He is then discovered by an agent who takes him to Los Angeles. His career can begin.

He exploded in the 1970s multiplying the movies (Alex in Wonderland, Choose McCay, Mr Saint Ives or godzilla) and TV series (MASH, clueless or the all-risk agency).

“It’s hard to put into words how brilliant my uncle Michael was and how much he influenced me. His stories have always inspired me and made me fall in love with comedy. He was the coolest, most confident, most talented man and the fact that he’s of my blood will always make me feel special,” his nephew continues.
