Of course, the friendship between these two will quickly challenge the boundaries of the world they live in and push the boundaries of tolerance.
Romantic comedy
After a difficult few years for Pixar (the flop of Buzz Lightning in 2022 and the release on the platforms of the great Soul Due to the closure of cinemas in the midst of Covid, the studio returns at its best with this love story so personal and so universal, inspired by meeting the film’s director, Peter Sohn (Arlo’s journey, 2015), with his wife. “I’m Korean; she’s American, half Italian. Flam and his kin are thus flames that are constantly moving and are great to watch. The graphic prowess also applies to the furnishing of Element City, an architectural megalopolis of madness with an archi-futuristic look, in which water bodies, fountains and lush vegetation have their place. Vincent Lacoste is superb in his naïve, tearful and humorous flack and Adèle Exarchopoulos offers amazing variations of her voice, ranging from languid to overheated. Known for his masterpieces such as toy story or Nemo’s worldPixar has never put love so much at the center of any of its actions.
