(LaPresse) Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks received an honoris causa doctorate from Harvard University. The actor-director was greeted with thunderous applause and presented with a Wilson volleyball with the university’s name in it: an apparent nod to the film Cast Away. In his speech, Hanks emphasized the sanctity of truth and had the opportunity to joke that although he never took a course, did not take an exam or entered the Harvard library, thanks to the fact that he played someone, a wonderful life Instead, he did each of those things.
