Emilio del Río Sanz, doctor of classical philology and professor at the Complutense University, could be seen in the Aula DV this Wednesday afternoon. He has published several books in which he invites readers to rediscover the great Greco-Roman authors, because without them, he says, “we cannot understand Western culture”. He is also known for his other volumes or his collaboration with “No es un día cualquiera” on Radio Nacional de España.
The event took place with free entry at the San Sebastián Aquarium, and the speaker shared this “madness for the classics” in a “very funny” talk. The lecture is promoted by El Diario Vasco in collaboration with the Fundación ‘la Caixa’ and moderated by the journalist Mitxel Ezquiaga. The intervention, broadcast live on the internet, can be seen in its entirety on diariovasco.com.
This Wednesday was published in dv an interview in which Emilio del Río Sanz confirms that “Seneca had a ‘tweeter’ thought and Ovidio would have been a good ‘influencer'”.
